Course Objectives

The Gait Rehabilitation course provides clinicians with an advanced, in-depth framework to effectively analyze and treat gait dysfunction. The course reviews gait theory and focus on practical, clinically appropriate approaches for observational and instrumented gait analysis. Clinicians advance their knowledge in evidence-based functional testing strategies and pathological gait mechanisms and diagnoses. The course provides a hands-on, patient-centered approach for rehabilitation and plan of care development for clients with amputation, impaired motor control, and other gait dysfunctions through video and real patient interaction. This course follows a progression of Mission Gait’s ideal practice principles and reinforces them through the weekend course with significant hands-on lab experience providing the clinician with skills to be used immediately upon their return to the clinical setting.
