Welcome to our Gait Certification Program

It is amazing that in the United States alone there are reportedly over 200,000 physical rehabilitation therapists and over 20 million people with gait disabilities, and until now there has been no comprehensive education and certification available. Breaking new ground, the Mission Gait Academy is proud to introduce our new Gait Rehabilitation Specialist (GRS) Certification Program. This initiative marks a historic step towards fulfilling our vision and addressing the gap in advanced education for Physical Therapists, PTA’s, Prosthetists, Orthotists, and Doctors everywhere – to empower them to better serve people suffering with gait dysfunction.

Our three levels of education:

Level I: Gait Foundational CEU, 15 contact hours – Gait Rehabilitation – Core Concepts and Treatment Strategies (Virtual and In-Person options)
Level II: Coming in 2024! Gait Rehabilitation Specialists (GRS) Certification Program – Five (Self Study Modules)
Level III: Coming Soon! Advanced Gait Certification Course (In-Person, Hands-on Training & Review)
After completing Levels 1 and 2 you will be entered into our Network of Providers as a Certified Gait Rehabilitation Specialists!

The Proof

While we don’t directly treat patients here at Mission Gait, our team is made up of actively practicing physical therapists, professors, and prosthetists. Their work with Mission Gait is in addition to their day jobs. We feel this is vital to the success and uniqueness of our education, content creation, and relating first-hand to what patients and practitioners are facing in the world of healthcare every day! Many of our team members have been or are presently working at David Lawrence’s practice, Lawrence Rehabilitation – The Gait Center in Richmond, VA. This clinic has been the “proof of product” – showing that the model of rehabilitation developed by Mr. Lawrence WORKS! Even those patients with the most complex gait disabilities find success in meeting their goals and regaining their lives. See PROOF that “the model” of physical rehabilitation that Mission Gait is teaching can change patient’s lives!
